Dr. Jeffrey Beaubien is a recognized leader in the field of human-centered engineering. His research covers a range of topics that include training design and evaluation, adult learning theory, teamwork, human performance measurement, and medical human factors. He has authored more than 50 journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters on these topics.
At Aptima, he chairs our Institutional Review Board (IRB) and serves as a mentor for junior staff members on the topics of research design and statistical analysis. Jeff has led multiple programs as the Principal Investigator on research sponsored by the US Navy, the US Army, the US Air Force, and the Telemedicine and Advanced Research Technologies Center, among others.
Jeff holds a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from George Mason University, an MA in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of New Haven, and a BA in psychology from the University of Rhode Island. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
